Spent the entire weekend at my mum's since she's home with a broken hand and needed a lot of help around the house. I mowed the entire lawn (back and front) for the first time with an enginedriven lawn mower! A bit scary at first, but I think I did okay. A ton of laundey had to be done and hung, dishes to wash and loads of other stuff. However, we did have time coffee in the garden several times. Made me feel like someone in an RYC
I did some work on my Candy. It's my top priority to get that finished right now. Then I might start that Lucky
-wrap I've planning for ages. I have the yarn and the needles, horray, but somehow I have the need to finish stuff right now. And that feeling doesn't linger, believe me, so i better hold on to it while it lasts!
And I'm trying to find the perfect yarn for my autumn knitting-project, which is a jumper from Teva Durham's book Loop-d-loop
. The jumper is called Lace leaf pullover
and it was featured in the latest issue of Interweave Knits
as well. I know Marika
is planning on doing it too, I'm really looking forward to reading about her progress. I'm thinking of using Rowan Polar
or Drops Eskimo
. I'll probably buy one ball each and make swatches and then decide which one to go for.
